Established in 1973, Beals Martin, Inc. provides a wide range of construction, development, and property management services for commercial and public works projects. Our founders started the company with the belief that we could provide customers with a higher quality product than the competition. They were right. Today, Beals Martin, Inc. is a prominent member of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area's construction industry.

 

Since 1975, we have successfully designed, built, leased, and managed over 30 real estate development projects of all sizes and types.

 

With a nucleus of 40 full time employees, we have the staff and experience to handle all phases of commercial related construction and property management needs.

Alyn T Beals

CEO/CO-FOUNDER

As President, Alyn sits at the helm of Beals Martin's leadership team.  With over five decades of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team in the general contracting, development and property management space. A committed professional dedicated to non-profits in the community, Alyn serves on the United American Bank Advisory Board as well as the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce.  His professional and community affiliations have earned him Redwood City Citizen of the Year as well as the Sequoia YMCA Distinguished Service Award Winner.  

Mr Beals holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Santa Clara.

Dwight A Ortmann

president

A Minnesota native, grew up farming and working on construction projects. Dwight graduated from Moorhead Technical Institute in 1977.

Dwight became involved in the home-building business in Kansas before joining forces with Bank Building Corporation in 1978. He spent five years with that firm, acting as project manager on financial institution projects throughout the Western United States. After supervising BMI's addition to the Lockheed Credit Union in Sunnyvale, we were successful in convincing Dwight to join our team in 1983.

Dwight's current duties include client and subcontractor relations, contract administration, field personnel management, and project management. He and his wife live in Fremont.

 


brandon a ortmann

EXECUTIVE vice president

Brandon started in the construction industry from the ground up, graduating through the ranks; laborer, apprentice carpenter, journeyman carpenter, foreman, and superintendent. Hands-on field experience has given Brandon a valuable background of constructibility, field management, craftsmanship, critical path scheduling and ability to identify obstacles before a project is actually built. Brandon currently serves as project executive and manages all pre-construction services from cost estimating, value engineering, scheduling construction phasing and constructibility review.

Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife of fifteen years, three children, fishing, boating and youth sports.
